Description
Potassium is an important element responsible for neurological functions. In soft corals, potassium participates in the transport of nutrients. In SPS corals the deficiency of this valuable element causes a faded pink and red colour. Usage of zeolites-based filtration media in the aquarium may lead to potassium deficiency. Regular and balanced use of Kalium maintains a proper level of potassium and strengthens the red and pink colouration of SPS corals. The recommended level of potassium in the reef aquarium is 360-380 mg/l.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 liters (27 US gal) daily. 1 ml of Kalium in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the potassium level by 1.86 ppm. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral stocking and individual needs.
